‘Prathamik Shikshak’ is a quarterly journal brought out by the Department of Elementary Education, National Council of Educational Research and Training (NCERT), New Delhi. It carries articles, research papers and book review on educational policies and school practices that are of interest to teachers and value materials that is useful for practitioners in contemporary times. The Journal also provides a forum to teachers to share their experiences and concerns about the schooling processes, curriculum, textbooks, teaching-learning and assessment practices. Selected papers are edited and manuscripts are made ready and submitted for publication. The views expressed by individual authors are their own and do not necessarily reflect the policies of NCERT, or the views of the editor. Efforts are being made to increase the readership of the Journal. On the basis of feedback received from the readers/ subscribers necessary modifications are made from time to time.
