Abstract

The study titled ‘Integrating Gamification into Preschool Concepts: A Developmental
Approach’ has explored the effect of gamification books on preschool children’s learning
at Kalamassery, Ernakulam, Kerala, India. The sample for the study was selected using
a purposive sampling method. The sample for the study included 70 children belonging
to the age group of 3-5 years and 15 teachers. The study investigated the impact of
gamification in learning numeracy, literacy, fine motor skills, and social interaction
among the preschool children. The results revealed a significant improvement in learning
outcomes, engagement, motivation, and social interaction among children, with positive
feedback from the teachers. The approach using gamification showed enhanced
understanding of educational concepts, fostering improved communication skills,
creativity, and self-expression. The result concludes that the gamification approach is a
promising tool for preschool education which in turn would help in creating a positive
impact on the development of children in early childhood education.
